Dr. Nikki Hastings, co-founder and executive director of CvilleBioHub will share keys to success in building strong biotech communities from an entrepreneurial perspective, highlighting examples from the Charlottesville region. The Greater Charlottesville area supports a thriving biotech community of companies and leaders innovating in therapeutics, medical devices and more. CvilleBioHub has organically grown an industry-led non-profit to serve, educate and strengthen the regional network of over 75 companies and 2500 employees.
About the Speaker
Dr. Hastings is an operations biotech executive and biotech ecosystem builder with over 15 years of experience with early-stage biotech/medtech and medical device companies. She has held executive management roles at companies across multiple industry sectors including HemoShear Therapeutics, Contraline, and Cerillo. Dr. Hastings co-founded and is executive director of CvilleBioHub. Dr. Hastings is also Biotech Track Director in the UVA McIntire School of Commerce. She holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
